Geoffrey Simpson

Founder & Principal

Geoff is a driving force as a principal at Parkspring, leveraging his profound experience in real estate finance & development. His commitment to Perseverance and Creativity elevates Parkspring’s standards of excellence, ensuring that we consistently provide exceptional solutions and deliver on promises. He also serves as a member of Parkspring’s Investment Committee.

Geoff co-founded Parkspring Multifamily in 2023, his follow-on investment firm after being a partner of Kaplan Multifamily, which was established in 1978. Geoff will continue to develop and manage Kaplan legacy holdings until sale, while all his future investments will be exclusive to Parkspring.
With over two decades of multifamily development and acquisitions experience, Geoff has been involved in over $3.2+ billion of developments and transactions. Prior to founding Parkspring, Geoff played a similar role with Kaplan Multifamily. Prior to Kaplan, Geoff had seven years of investment banking experience in mergers and acquisitions and raised over $4.8 billion of capital for a variety of projects.

Geoff received a Master of Business Administration from the University of Texas at Austin and a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Houston.

Matthew Stewart

Founder & Principal

As a principal at Parkspring, Matt brings his dynamic leadership and business expertise to the forefront. With a proven track record of leadership and growth, Matt is dedicated to upholding our core values, guiding our team to consistently exceed expectations. He also serves as a member of Parkspring’s Investment Committee.

Matt co-founded Parkspring Multifamily in 2023. Prior to Parkspring, Matt was a partner of Kaplan Multifamily and Chief Operating Officer. He will continue to develop and manage Kaplan legacy holdings until sale, while all his future investments will be exclusive to Parkspring. Previously, Matt was a senior executive with a demonstrated history of leadership success in multi-discipline engineering firms, where his emphasis was on the multi-family sector. Matt was also a founding partner of BIG RED DOG Engineering in 2009 and was instrumental in helping the firm grow to over 100 associates when it was acquired by WGI in 2019. His professional experience also encompasses site due diligence, technical design, and streamlined permitting for hundreds of subdivisions and multifamily projects throughout the United States.

Matt received a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from The Ohio State University.

Jim Hynes

Head of Capital Markets and Investor Services

Jim is responsible for the capital raising and investor services activities for the company. He also serves as a member of Parkspring’s Investment Committee.

Jim has a 30+ year career in public and private and real estate. Prior to Parkspring, Jim was a senior executive with Kaplan Multifamily where he led similar capital formation and investor services activities. Jim has previously held senior roles with multifamily firms including Rockspring Capital, Sawyer Realty Holdings, and The Berkshire Group, responsible for transacting several billion in multifamily transactions nationally.

Jim received a Master of Business Administration from Suffolk University and a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Merrimack College.

Zach Rigby

Director of Development

Zach Rigby serves as Parkspring Multifamily’s Director of Development, bringing over a decade of experience in real estate development and capital markets to the team. In his role, Zach leads the charge in sourcing, underwriting, and managing multifamily development projects across Texas, from initial land acquisition through construction and stabilization.

Before joining Parkspring, Zach was with Intrepid Equity Investments, where he was responsible for underwriting and capitalizing potential multifamily acquisitions. He also served as a Development Associate at Trinsic Residential Group, overseeing the development process of more than 1,100 units across Austin, Houston, and San Antonio. His experience extends to his tenure at JLL and HFF, where he executed over $3 billion in real estate transactions, spanning multifamily, senior housing, and other commercial sectors.

At Parkspring, Zach is instrumental in driving the growth of our development pipeline. His expertise in site selection, due diligence, financial modeling, and project management ensures that every development project meets the highest standards of quality and profitability. With a keen eye for detail and a collaborative leadership style, Zach plays a critical role in delivering exceptional value to our investors, stakeholders, and residents.

Zach holds a Bachelor of Arts in Urban Development from The University of Texas at Austin, with certifications in Business Foundations and Real Estate Finance from the McCombs School of Business. He is also a long-standing member of the Urban Land Institute and an active supporter of the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, where he has served in various leadership capacities.

Jerry Davis

Western Region

Jerry is responsible for all land sourcing opportunities for the Western Region.

Over the course of his career, Mr. Davis has purchased and/or developed more than 15,000 multi-family units totaling $1.2 billion and has extensive experience as an acquisition and development officer for Lane Company, JPI, and Trammell Crow Company. For the past 25 years he has been involved in the acquisition and development of upscale multifamily as a senior executive and/or partner with some of the national multifamily developers and apartment REITS. Most of his activity has been in Arizona and California.

Mr. Davis has a Bachelor of Science from California State University – Long Beach, MBA from California Missionary Baptist Institute, and is licensed in Real Estate and as a CPA in California.
